Do you realize how big the word "truth" is? Have you ever really stopped long enough to ask yourself the question where truth can be found if you were to look for it sincerely? Maybe you feel you have found it.
I remember long ago as a child, there was a television program with a title something like: "Truth Today" . It was a commentary that didn't really bring truth to me, and even as a child I wondered why people listened to this man who thought he knew what truth really was. Let's face it, every person in their own line of thinking can explain what the truth means, at least to them.
If we were ever living in an age where we need to find real truth, let me say it is today. Man can find a way to justify his own actions, call it truth, act on it, and some how think his actions are "truth". If he is approached for this action, he can tell you 50 reasons why he as acted in such a way. But let me ask you this, just because he has 50 reasons, do those 50 reasons add up to "the truth"? Are they powerful enough to sway a person into that persons way of thinking? Maybe they are, if the person is weak minded, easily swayed in other ways as well. Or, a person who just never does think and trusts a person who is reasoning things out his own way, yet he never asks even one question. Just where do we draw the line as far as trust?
Something to really think about. How about you? Where would you go to find truth? To the internet? To the local library? To your pastor/priest? Where?
In our school systems in America, the children are taught to stop, drop, and roll in the case of fire close to them to keep them safe from smoke. May I say, we all need to be kept safe. We to need to just simply "stop", (take time) "drop" (what we're doing) and "roll" (make every effort to find truth).
Don't be swayed into thinking anything and everything is truth. Listen to your inner being. Be true to yourself before you believe others blindly. If you are the only one, stay true to yourself.
